Famous for: Playing bartender Zoe in BBC drama Monarch Of The Glen

Born in Paisley in west Glasgow, Scottish actress Kari started out playing small TV roles in such shows as Doctors and The Inspector Lynley Mysteries, before landing the part of Sarah in BAFTA-winning children's series Jeopardy. Kari, who got into acting after training with the Scottish Youth Theatre, starred in the BBC drama from 2002 to 2005 and travelled to Australia for filming, which was where she realised acting was her dream. Kari later appeared in Glasgow-set soap opera River City and then played new barmaid Zoe in series six and seven of popular drama Monarch Of The Glen. In 2006, the actress starred in an episode of Sea Of Souls and the following year acted in The Whistleblowers, before winning the role of Staff Nurse Marian McKaig in British medical drama The Royal. In July 2008 the 24-year-old actress made her first appearance as Caroline Cooper in British soap Hollyoaks.
