Keen environmental campaigner Prince Charles is expanding his range of organic products with a haircare line that is apparently being tested by celebrity hair stylist Daniel Galvin, who counts some of Hollywood’s most glamorous women among his clients.

Cameron Diaz, Madonna and Nicole Kidman are a few of those who take their locks to Daniel's salon for treatment, and Charles' partner Camilla Parker Bowles, who is also a regular client, is reported to have tried out the new products.

The shampoo and conditioner mark a new departure for the Prince's brand Duchy Originals, which until now has concentrated on food items such as sausages made from free-range pigs, traditional-recipe soft drinks, and all-organic ice-creams and biscuits.

Duchy Originals has just branched into garden furniture, an initiative by Charles, who was keen to encourage the establishment of new markets for British wood. The new collection of sweet chestnut wood tables and chairs will go on display in April.

Those eager to try out the new haircare range will have to wait until May, when the products are due to launch at around £5 and £6 each.
