With his much-talked-about wedding just days away, Prince Charles has headed off to the Swiss Alps for a short break with his two sons at their favourite resort, Klosters.

William and Harry have joined their father at the plush Hotel Walserhof, which overlooks the exclusive resort. The three will no doubt be enjoying a little peace and quiet while the wedding build-up continues back home in Britain.

The guest list for the April 8 ceremony has become the latest issue to face media scrutiny, with Princess Michael of Kent said to be displeased after her son Lord Freddie Windsor failed to receive an invite. According to newspaper reports the 25-year-old, who once admitted to using cocaine, was not considered clean-cut enough to attend.

But on a more palatable note, Charles' guests can look forward to nibbling on some of his favourite fruitcake at the reception in Windsor Castle. The heir to the throne, who developed a taste for Etta Richardson's secret recipe after he paid a visit to her stall at Llansteffan Market in Carmarthenshire, has asked the grandmother to prepare 20 for his big day.

"It's lovely that Charles enjoys my cake so much, but it was still a surprise to be asked to bake 20 for his wedding," revealed the 74-year-old. "I am very honoured but it is very good cake, even if I say so myself."
