Carefully donning a pair of headphones, Prince Charles' wife practised putting records on the turntable and seemed quite pleased with the results. Camilla then revealed that her children, Laura and Tom Parker Bowles, are always keen to get in a bit of action on the decks.

While his wife was getting into the groove of things, Prince Charles was content to stand by and watch.

Later the royal pair sat down to a gala dinner, where guests heard that the Trust has helped thousands of young people in the three decades since it was founded. One in eight of all new ventures in Northern Ireland gets off the ground with a loan from the organisation they were told.

Earlier, on an impromptu walkabout in the winter chill, the royals stopped to chat with local youngsters about their plans for the Christmas holidays, with the Duchess telling 11-year-old Ryan O'Neill she hoped Santa brought everything on his wish list.
