Wills joins fellow cadets for a night at the bingo

Traditionally a pastime of the more mature set, bingo is currently enjoying something of a revival among British youth. And the latest high profile player to join their ranks, it seems, is none other than Prince William.

The 24-year-old stunned regulars at a Mecca bingo hall near his Sandhurst base when he turned up with fellow Sandhurst cadets for a fun night out on Friday. Wills signed up as a member and paid £5 for a book of five tickets, but apparently failed to scoop any of the £20 prizes during his hour-long session.

Despite his attempts to go incognito - he'd donned a baseball cap for the occasion – the Prince eventually admitted his royal status to eagle-eyed fans and signed a fellow player's bingo card.

Prince William is not the only famous face to try his hand at the popular matching-numbers game. Catherine Zeta-Jones, Denise Van Outen, Kerry Katona and Robbie Williams are all said to be keen bingo players.
