Crown Prince Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and his wife Maxima have just made a spectacular new addition to their property portfolio.
According to reports in the Dutch media, the royal couple are the proud new owners of a sprawling, secluded holiday home near the town of Kranidi, Greece.

Their love affair with the country dates back to when they were guests at Prince Nikolaos' fairytale wedding to Tatiana Blatnik.
The 2010 nuptials took place in Spetses, which is also in the same sun-drenched, southern nook as their new home.
Their 4,000 square metre estate cost a cool € 4.5 million and boasts a swimming pool, private beach and marina for their exclusive use.
It will be the perfect place for the couple's three young daughters, Amalia, Alexia and Ariane to lap up the sun during the summer months.

Maxima and Willem-Alexander can now count actor Sean Connery and Russian leader Vladimir Putin among their new neighbours.
