William and Kate: HELLO! celebrates exciting royal baby news with souvenir issue

05 DECEMBER 2012 In a week when the thrilling news broke that William and Kate are expecting a royal baby, HELLO! magazine has launched a special updated issue to bring you all the news on the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's joy.

The special souvenir copy of HELLO! – which hit London newsstands on Wednesday December 5 and will be available in the rest of the UK and Ireland on Thursday – includes the latest news on The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's announcement and Kate's sickness as well as the telltale signs that she was expecting.

The Duchess is currently in hospital suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, and is being looked after by a team of medical professionals including the Queen's personal doctor.

Royal watchers have been speculating in recent months as to when the couple would announce that a royal baby is on the way and they will no doubt all be thrilled at the latest announcement. Sources have said that the Duchess is in the early stages of pregnancy and not yet 12 weeks pregnant.

The statement issued by Clarence House simply read: "Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess is expecting a baby. The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."

Word of the pregnancy spread around the world within minutes, with thousands of fans and scores of celebrities tweeting their congratulations to the happy parents-to-be.
