12 JULY 2013

As the world waits with bated breath for pregnant Kate Middleton to give birth any day now, the Duchess of Cornwall has shared that she too is eagerly "waiting for the call".

"We are very excited, immensely looking forward to it and waiting for the phone call," said the Duchess.

Camilla, 65, opened up to reporters at the Coronation Festival, a four-day event commemorating the Queen's sixty years on the throne.

She smiled happily in the glorious English sunshine alongside her husband Prince Charles, who is soon to become a grandfather for the first time.

When he saw a range of commemorative china that will mark the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's new baby at the fair – which is showcasing the best of British produce and products – the Prince of Wales said: "It won't be long now".

Another royal baby arrival will soon come when Zara Phillips, who announced that she and her husband Mike Tindall were expecting their first baby together on Monday, gives birth.

The 32-year-old equestrian was glowing at her first public engagement since the good news was revealed, in a loose-fitting silk tunic print dress, sleek hair and natural make-up.

Princess Anne's daughter was seen chatting happily to her cousin Princess Eugenie in the royal box at Buckingham Palace.

The Queen, Prince Charles, and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall were also seated in the box to watch the performances by the Royal Ballet and several singers. Kate Middleton's parents, sister Pippa and brother James joined the royals in the box.

Another fashionable royal in the gardens of the Palace for the Coronation Gala was Sophie, Countess of Wessex.

Sophie, who was recently announced as first ever patron of London College of Fashion, stepped out in a beautiful white summery dress complete with feather neckline. She teamed the number with beige heels.
