Kate Middleton revealed that Prince George isn't a big fan of vegetables – so much so that she and Prince William have had to sneak them into the 8-month-old’s food so he won't notice he’s eating them.During her visit to Rainbow Place children's hospice on Saturday, the Duchess of Cambridge was quizzed by 14-year-old Lee Thompson on whether she liked vegetables, prompting her to to tell him that while she enjoyed them, her baby son isn't so keen. "The Duchess laughed and said she did, but it was a problem getting George to eat them," said Lee. "She said she and William had to mash up all his vegetables so he wouldn't notice."

Kate's comments came as she met youngsters, their families and nursing staff at a play therapy session at the hospice in Hamilton.

Here Kate met Bailey Rupe, six, who showed the 32-year-old Duchess how she uses hand puppets to explain her emotions about her mother's terminal breast cancer.

The Duchess sat down at a table decorated for tea party with Bailey, asking her "Are you having tea? Can I sit with you? How is mummy doing?""Do you find it difficult sometimes?" Said Kate, adding "yes, I'm sure you do, but you're a very brave little girl. "After meeting the Duchess Bailey said she was "excited to meet a real princess," adding "it made me feel like a princess for the day too."

During their multiple engagements on Saturday William and Kate continued to charm those they met and spoke more about their hopes for young George.  "They were saying they want to get George into rowing because he’s got long legs," said gold medalist Eric Murray, who added that he had found meeting the royal couple "surreal".Like his parents, George is expected to be sporty and William has already joked his son is "currently preparing for life as a prop forward."
