As England's star footballers prepare for the European Championships in Portugal, their lucky spouses are spending their days relaxing at one of Lisbon's hottest resorts.
While other teams have had their off-pitch activities resticted, England boss Sven Goran Eriksson has apparently laid down a relaxed set of rules for the England squad.
Based in the Penha Longa golf and spa resort, the sporting heroes' partners will be enjoying an especially luxurious stay. Located just outside the Portuguese capital in the southern hills of the Sintra mountains, the resort offers pampering spa treatments, lots of sporting activities and wonderful views out over open countryside. It is also just a short drive from two nearby beaches.
There is one famous other half, however, who won't be staying at the resort. Victoria Beckham, wife of England captain David, is renting a private villa nearby for herself and her two sons, according to one British newspaper.
"Victoria wants privacy in Portugal… She wants to be there to support David through every game and she thinks staying in her own villa will make that easier," a source told The Sun.
