Johnny Depp welcomes Keira to paradise

As any traveller knows, it's always nice to see friendly face waiting for you when you arrive at your destination. Most girls can only dream of the reception Keira Knightley received when she dropped anchor in the tropical paradise of St Vincent and the Grenadines, however, as she was met by a bronzed and shirtless Johnny Depp.

The 20-year-old actress was snapped cruising into the harbour of Wallilabou Bay during filming on the Pirates Of The Caribbean sequel. Her sun-drenched archipelago destination is famed as one of the most beautiful on the planet.

First port of call for most visitors is the capital Kingstown, which is found on the main island of St Vincent. It's breathtaking landscape, which comprises everything from spectacular cliffs to endless white beaches, belies the fact that it is just 18 miles long.

Home to a stunning array of colourful floral and fauna, it is similarly renowned for its majestic Baleine Falls. One of the most popular ways of getting to know the scenic island chain is by taking a tour on one of the scheduled ferries.

For many visitors the best way to enjoy the archipelago's charms is by doing as a little as possible. The palm-fringed beaches and tranquil waters of Young Island provide the perfect venue for some serious inactivity, but it would be shame to miss out on the chance to see some of the Grenadines' other beautiful isles, as the shores of Bequia and Mayreau are equally stunning.

Captain Jack Sparrow apparently had a shave and a haircut in anticipation of Keira's arrival. The hunky pirate's tan wasn't looking too bad either
