Next week’s nuptials of Victoria Beckham’s sister Louise Adams to businessman Hayden Isted will be an altogether lower key affair than the singer’s own gloriously indulgent pageant of a wedding.

Boutique owner Louise and 29-year-old Hayden will tie the knot at Hatfield register office on May 9 and then retire to Posh and Becks’s home in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, for the reception. The celebrations will be held in a marquee erected in the grounds in preparation for the celebrity hosts’ much-vaunted Japanese themed World Cup party two days later.

According to one source, “Victoria was determined that Louise would have a day to treasure,” and guests at the celebration will be confined to just 60 close friends and family. The happy couple have been keen to keep details of the upcoming wedding under their hat and details of the exact nature of the wedding breakfast remain scarce.

The World Cup party, which is scheduled to be attended by more than 300 guests, including Sir Elton John, Ronan Keating, the Spice Girls and the England football team, looks set to raise millions for children's charity the NSPCC. It will be recorded by ITV for a special to be screened on May 16.

"David wanted to have a get-together for the England team before the World Cup," said a source said. "It was his idea to donate all the money raised to the NSPCC. Victoria and David are paying for the whole party, including the food, booze and tents."
