A SIX-FIGURE MAKE-UP DEAL FOR POSH AND BECKS

Footballer David Beckham has developed a reputation as a fearless fashionista, sporting everything from sarongs to nail varnish. And now he’s putting his trendsetting taste to good use, heading up a make-up company campaign along with his equally glamorous spouse, pop singer Victoria.

The superstar celebrity couple has inked a six-figure deal with Japanese cosmetics firm TBC – Tokyo Beauty Centre – and are now set to shoot a series of poster adverts with photographer Dean Freeman, who took the pictures for David's 2000 biography, Beckham: My World.

TBC, whose range of products for men include skin lotions, facial cleansers and eyebrow-shaping kits, is apparently keen to ride the wave of Posh ‘n’ Becks popularity that was sparked off during the 2002 World Cup. “Believe it or not, David is probably a bigger star in Japan than he is in England,” a TBC source told British newspaper The Sun. “They are a couple every Japanese citizen recognises immediately.”

However, fans shouldn’t expect to see the make-up adverts plastered around Britain. Although the campaign will be shot in the UK and will feature David and Victoria in an English manor, the advertisements themselves will be seen only in the Far East.
