CLOONEY TOP COP AFTER BECKS GETS BUSTED

David Beckham has had a spot of bother with the Police after Hollywood heart-throb George Clooney stole his job.

The soccer star has lost the contract to model Police sunglasses in the UK after apparently demanding a pay increase. While the Manchester United star has been the official face for Police sunglasses in the UK and Japan, George has been enjoying a £3-million contract to represent the company in the rest of the world. Now it seems the 41-year-old star has set his sights on complete global jurisdiction.

"George has a much bigger world profile and appeal than David," explained a spokesperson. "We are delighted he will be the face of Police in the UK and Japan."

While David's considerable fame isn't quite enough to match up to his movie star competitor's, it is unlikely he'll find himself stuck for a few shillings. He still enjoys advertising contracts with Adidas, Vodafone, Marks & Spencer along with Japanese sweet company Mejji Seika. He and his wife Vicotoria also appear together in advertisements for the Japanese cosmetics giant TBC.
