Players at the French Open this year will be facing some tough competition, as Andre Agassi and his wife Steffi Graf are planning to enter the mixed doubles together.

Speaking at the Australian Open, Andre said: "For the record … if I win here, Stef has to play doubles with me in Paris. You can print that and I'll hold you to it."

The 32-year-old is aiming to break records down under by becoming the first foreign player to win the Australian Open for a fourth time. If his recent form is anything to go by, we can expect to see the formidable couple in action in France. He has gone through to the semi-finals after demolishing France's Sebastien Grosjean 6-3, 6-2, 6-2 in the quarters.

If the couple do play together they will do so with some 30 Grand Slam singles titles between them. Formidable opposition indeed for other competitors at the tournament.

They could run into trouble, however, as Andre says he finds it difficult to play against his wife. "She usually beats me," he admits. "I have trouble keeping my eye on the ball."
