Rod's girls take New York by storm

Kimberly Stewart, the model daughter of British rock veteran Rod Stewart, is a regular feature at celebrity parties on both sides of the Atlantic. She isn't the only catwalk queen who's proud to call the iconic singer her dad, though, as her younger sister Ruby is rapidly becoming one of the runway's hottest properties.

The 18-year-old made quite an impression on photographers stateside this week when she accompanied her older sibling to a series of glitzy parties. The shapely pair were the focus of everyone's attention when they hosted a bash to kick off New York Fashion Week on Wednesday, and they made light work of stealing the limelight once again the following evening, when they arrived together for the Miss Sixty show.

Ruby's mother, Texan model Kelly Emberg, had a brief romance with Rod in the mid-Eighties, while Kimberly's mum Alana Hamilton was married to him for five years. Fashionistas gathered in the Big Apple this week were left with little doubt about the pair's close relationship, as they were seen embracing and chatting warmly at several events.

Sources close to the younger girl say that, although she is already making inroads in the modelling game, she is keen to start a career in music. And the teenager already has some noteworthy experience of performing on stage, as she once joined her famous dad at Wembley Arena for a rendition of Dancing In The Street.
