Some of the music industry's hottest divas showed off their sizzling form in New York this week. Eye-popping costumes appeared to be the order of the day as big names like Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Nelly Furtado took to the stage of the Radio City Music Hall to strut their stuff at the annual Fashion Rocks concert.

The Dirrty singer seemed to have taken inspiration from the Navy with her high-waisted, brass buttoned pants and sailor's cap, while America's favourite Naughty Girl paid tribute to 1920's chanteuse Josephine Baker with her gem-encrusted bikini and banana-timmed miniskirt.

Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie, who is just kicking off her solo career, likewise set temperatures soaring when she stepped into the limelight in a metallic minidress to perform a duet with British pop veteran Sir Elton John.

The annual showcase, which marks the beginning of New York Fashion Week, attracted a galaxy of stars from across the showbiz world. Actresses Denise Richards and Eva Mendes were both in attendance for the event, along with Carmen Electra, Diane Kruger, Mischa Barton and fashion designer Donna Karan.
