Dannii Minogue and Kris Smith have put paid to rumours of a split with a show of togetherness in Melbourne. Appearing for the first time in public since it was reported their relationship was on the rocks, the couple arrived hand-in-hand at their local cinema for the premiere of Oranges and Sunshine. And despite being at the centre of split speculation, they showed no signs of strain, smiling and holding each other close as they posed for photographs.It was a rare outing for the couple, who are busy parents to their baby boy, 11-month-old Ethan.
To mark the occasion, super stylish Dannii, 39, dressed up in a one-shoulder grey dress from her Project D collection, while her model man chose a smart grey jumper teamed with black trousers.Just last month, the pair were forced to issue a statement denying that they were on the verge of a split. "Thanks for your concern," they said, "We're happy to be back at home in Melbourne together as a family. "We are committed to our relationship and Ethan as always. "It followed mysterious comments posted by the couple on Twitter – which were later deleted.
"Never chase love. If it isn't given freely by another person, it's not worth having," Dannii wrote. "Forgiving someone does not mean forgetting what they did. It simply means letting go of the hurt. "Her 32-year-old partner, meanwhile, added: "You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone." Last week, Kris reiterated that his relationship with Dannii was still on, and that the couple were happy together. "You show me a perfect relationship and I will show you a liar," he said, "Everything has its ups and downs and things do get magnified when you are in the public eye. "This is something that has been just totally blown way out of proportion. Everything is fine. We are good. We are happy."
