Laura Trott and DJ Bolt let their hair down after triumphant Games

Now the hard work is over, some of London 2012’s most successful athletes are toasting their wins with well-deserved nights out on the town. Treble-gold winner Usain Bolt celebrated smashing the 4 x 100 metres world record with his Jamaican team mates by taking to the decks. Hotfooting it from the Olympic Stadium to party on Saturday night, the sprinter turned DJ as he took to the stage to entertain the packed crowd.

"He came on stage and grabbed the mike," DJ Manny Norte recalled. "The energy went up ten fold, it was electric. Everyone was very excited to see him." Double Olympic champion Laura Trott was also keen to let her hair down, swapping her cycling kit for a bodycon minidress as she stepped out with her team mates Dani King and Joanna Rowsell. The trio, who set a new world record in the team pursuit, looked delighted to be enjoying a night out.

Meanwhile, Mo Farah showed David Cameron how to do the 'Mo-bot' outside Downing Street on Sunday. The double-gold winner showed off his signature celebration move to the Prime Minister, who responded with applause for the 10,000m and 5,000m winner. Somalian refugee Mo was attending a summit to discuss world hunger. Mr Cameron was full of praise for the athlete, saying that he had "run his way into the nation’s heart".
