As Kill Bill's deadly bride Beatrix Kiddo, Uma Thurman zipped around on a motorbike and took part in complex martial art fight scenes while wielding a Samurai sword . And it seemed as if the actress had got back to her action girl roots this week as she checked some sporty wheels at a promotional event. Uma looked every inch a Bond girl as she unveiled the new BMW i8 Roadster in New York. But the futuristic-looking car had to share the spotlight with the serious bling Uma was sporting in the form of an enormous diamond ring.
As the 42-year-old clambered out of the car, the huge diamond could be seen sparkling on her right hand. Whether the impressive bauble was a gift from her other half Arpad Busson remains a mystery. And although the ring wasn't on Uma's engagement finger but celeb-watchers were remarking she could have moved it to throw the press of the scent. Uma and Arpad were previously engaged – the Swiss multi-millionaire had been dating Uma for just over a year when he asked for her hand, presenting her with a an eight-carat diamond surrounded by 20 smaller stones. The pair celebrated their good news with celebrity pals including Elton John and David Furnish and Sting and his wife Trudie Styler at a star-studded bash at Arpad's London home. But it was not meant to be and the pair broke off their engagement in 2009. They reconciled two years later and in July this year the pair welcomed their first child, a daughter named Rosalind Arusha Arkadina Altalune Florence Thurman-Busson.
