The former Disney star was the epitome of rock chic as she attended a birthday bash for producer Pharrell Williams in Miami on Friday night. The music mogul is working with Miley on her highly-anticipated new album. Before heading out, Miley posted pictures of pre-party drinks with her female friends on Instagram. Earlier in the day she had alerted Twitter followers to her jubilant mood, writing, "So many peeps I love birrrfday is today! Gotta celllllebratttteee."
Liam was nowhere to be seen as the starlet, 20, flaunted her toned tummy in low-slung leather shorts and a tank top teamed with strappy heels. She called the look, "girl in boys clothing". The most important accessory, however, was her sparkling engagement ring, which suggests she and Liam are still together after recent rumours suggested their wedding had been called off following a fight. But the blonde put that to the back of her mind as she and her friends partied with Pharrell Williams and actress Jennifer Hudson at Miami Beach's Arkadia nightclub.
Pharrell, who turned 40, was grateful for all the attention on his big day. "So thankful for the birthday wishes, last night's party and all the artists who've ever allowed me to create music for them," he tweeted. Miley's night out would have been a distraction from her recent relationship woes. Reports suggested that she decided to end her engagement to Liam Hemsworth, following rumours that he had a night out with January Jones at a pre-Oscars party.Liam recently returned to LA following a solo visit to Australia and the Philippines, and was spotted visiting Miley's home where his car was left parked outside, but the couple haven't been pictured together for months. While Miley has previously denied that the wedding is off, Liam has remained silent.
