It looks like the fireworks are back for John Mayer and Katy Perry. Days after Katy posted a picture of the on-off couple cuddling up for a Independence Day picture, John offered up his own touching tribute. The singer dedicated a song to Katy on the opening night of his Born and Raised world tour.

According to Radar, he described the 28-year-old as "more incredible than I ever thought" as he described how she helped him during his recovery from throat surgery and was unable to talk. "She was so patient," he told the crowd gathered at the Marcus Amphitheatre in Milwaukee, saying that Katy had taken the time "to get to know me and love me", despite his health problems. He then introduced his final song, A Face To Call Home, which he dedicated "To Katy, who is my face to call home."

The California Gurls star was reportedly in the audience to see his musical tribute. It is thought that Katie and John, 35, have been back together for around a month after splitting up in March. They were first linked last summer, but didn't make their first red carpet appearance together until December 2012.Two months later, in February, John opened up about his 'human' romance with Katy.

"I don't feel like I'm in a celebrity relationship," said the singer, who has dated Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson and Taylor Swift in the past. "I don't feel it for the first time in my life.

"I'm not even in a high-profile relationship…I know it's high-profile, but it's hard to explain. It doesn't feel that way to me, and it's great and I'm glad. I'm saying for me, it feels like it's something very human."
