"Elizabeth and I are sill friends and we catch up when we can," Shane told Sunrise. "It's a shame it's all over and done, but that's the way it goes unfortunately."
In a second interview with Triple M's Hot Breakfast, he reiterated, "I'm single, I'm not seeing anyone, I'm not dating anyone, I haven't got the hots for anyone."
The former sportsman, 44, later addressed recent rumours in the press that he had spent four hours in Ultimo millionaire Michelle Mone's hotel room on 16 February.
"It's nobody's business, but that's all absolute rubbish, just for the record," he told Today. "I'm just a man trying to do the best I possibly can."
Michelle, 42, has also dismissed the romance reports, confirming on Twitter last week that she had been single for the past 18 months. "FTR (for the record) I'd never ever meet a guy if he was taken. It was done to me and I remember that pain," she wrote.
"I've been single for 18 months, very independent, successful and don't need anyone for anything other than my family."

Shane wrote, "Just read some ludicrous & laughable reporting on me, what an absolute load of rubbish! Whatever, time to rack up the air miles again."
Shane and Elizabeth split late last year, and there was a great deal of speculation as to why the couple had decided to end their fairytale romance — from Shane's refusal to set a wedding date, to interference from his ex-wife Simone.
"FTR, I did not split up with EH because of my ex-wife, secret phone or that I didn't set a wedding date," Shane recently clarified on Twitter.
"Also FTR & I know it's nobody's business, I'm not in a relationship, smitten by anyone or seeing anyone, all absolute rubbish & made up lies."
