After scooping the award for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his outstanding performance in Dallas Buyers Club, the Oscar-winning actor was seen embracing his wife reportedly wanted to go home to make a new addition to their family.
"We won’t stay at the after-party long – I want to go home and make another baby!" the actor said according to The Sun.
Matthew, who played an HIV-infected cowboy alongside fellow Oscar winner Jared Leto in the award-winning film, already has three children with his wife Camila Alves – Levi, five, Livingston, 14 months and daughter Vida, four – who he thanked in his Oscars speech.
"To my wife Camila and my kids, the courage and significance you give me every day I go out the door is unparalleled.
"You are the four people in my life that I want to make the most proud of me," he said of his Brazilian model wife and their three little ones. "Thank you."
He also paid tribute to his father, who passed away in 1992, and his mother, who was in the audience.
"To my father who I know is up there right now with a big pot of gumbo, he has a big lemon meringue pie," the star said in tribute to his dad James.
"He's probably in his underwear and has a big can of Miller Lite and he's dancing right now. To you dad, you taught me how to be a man.
"To my mother (Mary), who's here tonight, who taught me and my two elder brothers – demanded – that we respect ourselves. And in turn we were able to learn how to respect others. Thank you for that mama."
