Kate Winslet steals the show at Divergent premiere

, 38-year-old Kate chose to wear a form-fitting black dress to promote the new Sci Fi action film in the British capital.Kate, who recently

, added a pop of colour to her outfit with scarlet nail polish and lipstick and accessorised with glittering diamond and emerald earrings.

Joining the new mum at the Odeon cinema in Leicester Square were her co-stars Theo James, Shailene Woodley and Ben Lloyd-Hughes.

The cast members happily signed autographs and posed for photos with fans, while

signed copies of her bestselling book as she walked the red carpet.

Following

's Los Angeles premiere, Kate talked about her experience of playing a villain for the first time in her 23-year-long career.

"I haven’t played a villain before," she said. "But I didn’t realise that until I agreed to play the role and said ‘Oh, she’s actually kind of evil through and through’."She went on to add: "It was a big, fun, exciting, new challenge for me."
