Eminem's daughter Hailie Scott Mathers has graduated from high school in Clinton, Michigan. The accomplished 18-year-old, who was also crowned homecoming queen last October, achieved the above-average Summa Cum Laude status. Wearing her school's white robes and graduate cap, Hailie marked her big day by posting a couple of photos of herself and her friends on Twitter.
Hailie, who plans to study "psychology" or "entrepreneur" at Michigan State University, was also presented with the Academic Excellence Award and Department of Psychology Award. She has also been a member of the art club, key club, volleyball team, student council and national honour society, according to the school's website.
When Hailie was named homecoming queen last year, her proud dad Eminem – who has paid tribute to his daughter in hits such as Mockingbird and Hailie's Song – kept a low-profile and watched the welcoming back ceremony from the side. "Hailie came out with her mother Kim when she was introduced with all the other kids but her father watched from inside the school because he didn't want to cause a scene," a parent told the Macomb Daily News. "He wanted Hailie to have her own moment." Overjoyed mother Kim, meanwhile, was pictured hugging and kissing the top of her daughter's head as she was announced queen.
