Mark Consuelos made his grand return to LIVE! With Kelly & Mark on September 28 following surgery on his toe. The 55-year-old graced the studio via a knee scooter just days after he underwent the procedure.
"I made it!" Mark said during the opening of the show. The host explained that he didn't think he would have been able to return to the show so quickly. "You know, we were giving the over-under whether or not I'd be here. I thought for sure there was a 90 percent chance I wouldn't be here," he shared.
Kelly Ripa then revealed that her husband had been up all night – but not because of his surgery. "I didn't think you should be here," she said, sharing that their dog Lena had been sick all night. "Our dog was up all night with diarrhea because she has main character syndrome, and since Mark was getting a lot of attention, she was like, 'Hold my beer.'"
© ABC"I felt so bad for her," said Mark. "But like clockwork, every 90 minutes, she had to go outside."
Kelly went on to share how confused Mark appeared following his surgery. "I will recreate it for you here," she said. "Was I funny?" asked Mark.
© Getty Images"You were very funny. You were snoring so loud that everybody was concerned for me. I said, 'I'm fine. I'm totally fine. I think it's more important that he rest,'" replied Kelly.
She continued: "The first thing you asked is, 'When are they taking me to do the surgery?' And you asked that about 30 or 40 times. I said, 'It's over. It's done.' And then finally you looked at me and said, 'Who are you?'. And I said, 'I'm your wife.' To which you replied, 'No.'"

© Getty ImagesLast week, Mark revealed to the audience that he was heading straight from the studio to have an operation on his toe. Initially joking that he was having the surgery so he could improve his golf game, he then clarified: "No, it's arthritic, it's bad. I need help. Yeah, it hurts."
Mark and Kelly, who first met while starring together on All My Children, have been married for 30 years and share three adult children: Michael, 29, Lola, 25, and Joaquin, 23.
