Brody Jenner has denied that he and his former Hills co-star Lauren Conrad were ever actually an item.
Speaking on his new weekly podcast, Brody - who is currently dating model Kaitlynn Carter - revealed that he and Lauren were only ever friends and said their romance was only for the TV cameras.

When quizzed by his co-host Dr Mike Dow about his past relationships with stars including Avril Lavigne, Nicole Ritchie, Lauren and Kristin Cavallari, Bruce Jenner's youngest son stopped to clarify that he and Lauren never really dated.
"That's false," he interjected. "Lauren Conrad and I never dated. Lauren and I have always been just friends.
"[Lauren and I] worked together on a show called The Hills," he added of the author and fashion designer, who is engaged to musician William Tell. "We had to pretend like we were dating but we never dated."

Dr Mike then asked if Brody's relationship with Kristen on the show had also been staged to which the 30-year-old replied, "I dated Kristin when we were very young, when she was on Laguna Beach and I was on a show called Princes of Malibu with Spencer Pratt.
