"From the second I started earning I didn't go to the designer shops and buy loads of new clothes, because I never had before," said Fearne.

Fearne was able to buy the prized valuable at the age of 17, after giving some money to her parents for housekeeping, and by 19, she had enough to buy her own flat.
"My attitude to money hasn't really changed over the years," added the star, who earlier this summer married Jesse Wood – the father of her 18-month-old son Rex.
After being together for three years, Fearne and Jesse, 37, tied the knot in a glittering ceremony held in Kew, London. The avid fashionista wowed her guests in a custom made Pucci gown, and gave fans a glimpse into her romantic celebration with an Instagram photo of the newlyweds' first dance.
Their adorable son Rex is sure to have shared his parents' attention on the special day, as the family-of-three wed in front of their closest friends and relatives.

As she launched the new Financial Services Compensation Scheme campaign on Monday, Fearne said: "It's really nice to know that now I'm a mum, I can put money away in an FSCS protected account to keep it safe and secure for my family.
"Whether it's saving for my first flat back in the day, or now creating stable foundations for a family – it's protected money."
The campaign reassures people that their money is protected by FSCS up to £85,000 per person, if their bank, building society or credit union goes bust.
