Prince George and Harper Beckham have been crowned the nation's favourite children to have in a "fantasy family". When British families were asked to create the ultimate celebrity clan, the royal baby and David and Victoria Beckham's youngest were selected, with George winning 32 per cent of votes and Harper gaining 18 per cent. Football legend David and actor Colin Firth came neck to neck for the role of "dad" with 20 per cent, while Holly Willoughby, who gave birth to her third child last month, was the nation's choice for "mum" with 24 per cent of votes.

Davina McCall, who is also a proud mum of three, followed behind with 16 per cent. As for "granny," Judi Dench pipped Mary Berry to the post scoring 32 per cent of votes against the star baker's 17 per cent. The online survey, completed by 2,050 adults, was organised by YouGov to coincide with the release of family comedy This Is Where I Leave You out in cinemas on 24 October.

This is not the first time that baby George, who turned one last July, has topped national polls. Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge's firstborn was hailed as the most influential tot of his time by My1stYears.com. George, who had been making headlines for his heart-warming appearances, was on his first overseas tour to Australia and New Zealand at the time of the survey. Shortly after his birthday, the royal baby was also styled as the celebrity toddler with the best hair in a survey carried out by Hairtrade.com, beating Blue Ivy Carter and North West to the top spot.
