This is what Ellie, who is a Capricorn, can be expecting today:
What if today was the first day of 2014? What if you only had 48 hours or so to live through the whole year, to make your memories, create your impressions and gain your experiences? What if you could forget all that has gone on in the last 12 months and replace everything with what is about to happen? Isn't there at least one thing you ought to make one last effort to fix before you walk away from this year? There is still time to do something that can bring about an enormous, positive difference. Give it a go.
Born in 1986 as Elena Jane Goulding, Ellie Goulding has become one of Britain's most popular singer-songwriters, known for her breathy tone, and winning the 2014 Brit Award for Best British Female.
In 2010 she became only the second artist to ever top Sound of... poll and win the Critics' Choice Award at the Brit Award, and in the summer of that year she released her debut album, Lights, to critical acclaim.
It debuted at number one in the UK, and her cover of Elton John's Your Song hit the charts later that Christmas.
Ellie was announced as one of the musicians who would perform live during the reception of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding, where she sang Your Song, and she also performed at Prince Harry's 30th birthday party.
She began touring and working with American producer Skrillex, and in 2012 Ellie released her second album, Halycon, which went in at number two and reached number one in 2013 after 65 weeks on the UK chart.
In 2013 Ellie had her first UK number one single with the track Burn, and revealed that her version of How Long Will I Love You would be the BBC Children In Need single for that year.
Ellie has featured on three high profile movie soundtracks - Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, and Divergent - and has worked closely with DJ Calvin Harris over the years.
The 28-year-old singer is a passionate runner, and ran the inaugural Nike Women Half Marathon in 2013 in Washington DC.
She has had several high profile relationships, including BBC Radio 1 DJ Greg James, Skrillex, and Ed Sheeran. In May 2014, McBusted's singer Dougie Poynter confirmed that he and Ellie were in a serious relationship.
