Lindsay Lohan is celebrating completing her 125 hours of court-ordered community service. The 28-year-old actress confirmed her achievement on Instagram by sharing a photo of herself under the headline "Mission Accomplished!!! I finished my community service."
"Hard work pays off," she wrote alongside the picture. "Thank you to all those that allowed me to volunteer while in nyc. God bless you all. Amen."
On Wednesday Lindsay celebrated completing 125 hours of community service
Lindsay's legions of fans were quick to congratulate her and the photo garnered over 67,000 likes in 12 hours, as well as thousands of positive comments.
New York-born Lindsay has been keeping her Instagram followers updated on her progress and recently shared a picture of herself hard at work creating a children's playground.
She captioned the snap: "We built this for the kids today! So cute!!"
One week earlier, Lindsay had been getting stuck into some gardening, posting a photo of herself sporting a black dress and holding some shears with the caption: "Gardening #TLC women's shelter."
Lindsay had previously failed to complete her required community service, which stems from a 2012 reckless driving charge. She was given an extension until 28 May meaning that having completed the necessary number of hours, Lindsay’s probation should now be lifted.
As well as helping out in the community, Lindsay has been focussing on her career and recently starred in Speed the Plow in London's West End.
Despite some negative reviews of her early performances, the actress said she was happy to be working and dedicated to the show.
"Everyone is going to be judgemental, no matter what," she told the Mirror. "I respect people have an opinion, but I'm doing the best I can and will for the duration. I'm doing this because working makes me feel happy and this is a new venture for me."
