Zayn Malik appears to be ready to expand his circle of female friends after splitting from Perrie Edwards. The 22-year-old has been keeping up with the Kardashians' antics online, following Khloé Kardashian on Twitter after liking a photo of her 17-year-old sister Kylie Jenner.

The former One Direction star appeared to have been scrolling through the teenager's Twitter feed following a night out in Los Angeles on Wednesday, and added a photo of her to his favourites almost a week after she had posted it.

The image, which shows Kylie in a black netted dress, now appears on Zayn's favourites tab on the social networking site – along with a photo of himself and his former fiancée.

Zayn didn't stop there though, as he also followed Kylie's older sister Khloé, 31, leading many fans to speculate he was interested in dating one of them.

"If Zayn Malik and Kylie Jenner have a thing I'll cry my eyes out," one fan wrote, while another tweeted that they would make a great couple.

The Bradford-born star has been spending time "chillin" in Los Angeles following the news that he had called off his engagement from his fiancée of two years. Zayn also found time to get a new tattoo on his left arm – a lotus flower, which he showed off on yet another night out at Hollywood's Warwick nightclub on Thursday.

Lotus flowers are said to symbolise rebirth and spiritual awakening – an apt choice following a dramatic few months that has seen him leave One Direction, sign a solo record deal and break up with Perrie.

Zayn is said to have no contact with Perrie since ending their relationship in July, despite the fact that she has also been in Los Angeles on a promotional tour with Little Mix. The 22-year-old is said to be devastated by the break-up but has put on a brave face in public, telling E! she was "good" in her first interview since the news was announced.
