Jamie Oliver dresses up in Star Wars outfit for son Buddy's fifth birthday

It was hard to say who was enjoying the party more – Jamie Oliver or his son Buddy who was celebrating his fifth birthday. The TV chef dressed up in full costume as a Stormtrooper from the Star Wars franchise, complete with white body armour, a fearsome looking gun and a comically mean expression.

In the picture the five-year-old appears to be Hans Solo or Luke Skywalker while his sister Petal posed with light sabres.

The force is with Jamie Oliver and family at their Star Wars themed party

Jamie posted a picture from the party, telling followers on Facebook: "Jumped into his party and immediately got beaten by 20 x 6 year olds with foam light Sabres!! I'm shaken but I'm ok ..... May the force be with you :):)"

His wife Jools is seen having a giggle at the back of the family group, probably at the TV star's enthusiasm. After 15 years she is used to the passion with which he does everything, including it seems fancy dress. In June this year, on their anniversary he paid tribute to Jools telling her: "I can't believe it's been so long already. What a brilliant journey and thanks for everything you do babe. Top mum Top wife..."

The 40-year-old also sweetly revealed where he had hidden an anniversary present somewhere in the house for her. The year before that he shared a gorgeous unseen photo of their wedding to celebrate 14 years of marriage.

The Olivers, who have been together since they were 18, have two other children Poppy Honey, born in 2002 and Daisy Boo, who arrived just 13 months later.

Jools loves being a mum and famously posed on the steps of the hospital hours after giving birth to Buddy looking naturally beautiful. She has been lobbying for a fifth child, even while admitting "It would be wrong". "I never get any time to spend with Jamie as it is," she told Red magazine in 2012. "He has said give it a couple of years, then maybe we can think about it."
