Sam Faiers celebrated "the most amazing year" with boyfriend Paul Knightley on Thursday. The former TOWIE star, who is expecting their first child in the New Year, shared a montage of images on Instagram in honour of their one year anniversary together.

The collage features snaps from their first 12 months together, including a sweet image of Paul resting his hands on Sam's growing baby bump.

"Happy 1 year anniversary to my boyfriend & best friend in the whole world… I have had the most amazing year with you," Sam captioned the image, adding: "You are going to be the most wonderful daddy… I couldn't ask for more. I love you x S F & P K."

Sam and Paul began dating in October 2014 after meeting at a bar in Essex. In August they confirmed the happy news that they are expecting their first child together, and Sam has since opened up about her pregnancy exclusively to HELLO! Online.

"We don't know the sex of the baby and we aren't going to find out," Sam confided. "We did consider it for a while but we have decided that we want to keep it as a surprise, not just for our family and friends but also for ourselves."

The 24-year-old also said she and Paul are holding out a bit longer before they start thinking about possible names. "I think when we do decide on a name that we will keep it a secret as it's so easy for people to change your mind on a name once they hear it," she said. "And once we've decided I think Paul and I will want to stick with it.

"Sometimes it takes seeing a baby for the first time before you decide on a final name as well. I always remember (sister) Billie being really keen on Elsie for Nelly, but then when she saw her she didn't think it suited her, so I guess we will have to wait and see."
