The Victoria's Secret model and the former One Direction singer are said to be in the early stages of dating. The hot couple were spotted getting cosy in West Hollywood on Sunday night after the model had attended the American Music Awards.

Gigi, 20, and previous boyfriend Joe Jonas split just under three weeks ago due to "heavy work schedules".

Zayn, meanwhile, called time on his relationship of four years with fiancée Perrie Edwards in the summer. Their break-up came as a surprise to fans because it was thought that Zayn had left One Direction so that he could concentrate on having "a normal life" with Perrie.

The couple had recently bought a £4.2million mansion together and also owned a kitten. In June, the Little Mix singer talked about wanting to have three children by the time she was 24 and had said she was busy planning their "perfect wedding".

Now based in Los Angeles while he records his debut solo album, the singer is getting close to the Kardashian clan, having recently attended Kylie Jenner's 18th birthday party. In fact, it may be at Kylie’s birthday party where Zayn met Gigi – Kylie is a mutual friend.

In a recent interview with Fader magazine, Zayn put paid to rumours that he had ended his relationship with Perrie via text message: "I love her [Perrie] a lot, and I always will, and I would never end our relationship over four years like that. She knows that, I know that, and the public should know as well."

The 22-year-old refused to go into the reasons why he broke up their engagement, saying: "'I don’t want to explain why or what I did, I just want the public to know I didn’t do that."
