Madonna has spoken out about "challenging times" in her life, amid a bitter custody battle with her ex-husband Guy Ritchie for their son Rocco. The pop superstar made the revelations during her concert in Mexico City.
In between songs the Like A Virgin singer spoke to the audience about the problems she faces in her personal life. She began by saying, "We all go through challenging times in our life, and that includes me. I, too, go through challenging times in my life, and right now is one of them."

"Sometimes I think I can’t do a show. I don’t have the energy, I don’t have the strength. I come out here tonight and I can see your faces, and I look into your eyes and I see so much love and it give me strength," she continued.
"So thank you. You are rebel hearts. I feel you beating with mine," she concluded.
The comments come as the 57-year-old is fighting to get her son Rocco to return to the United States after he left in December, and refused to come back. After touring with his mother on her "Rebel Heart" tour, their relationship was said to have become strained, and the 15-year-old left the tour early to go to London to be with his father, Guy Ritchie.
Although it was stated in Madonna and Guy’s divorce that Rocco would live with his mother in New York, the teenager has refused to return to his American home. As this has now become a legal issue, film director Guy has hired a lawyer to fight for custody of his eldest son.
Despite not having her son at her Christmas celebrations Rocco wasn’t far from Madonna's thoughts, and she took to Instagram to wish "the sun-shine" of her life a merry Christmas, alongside a sweet throwback pic.
