Kate Winslet caused quite a stir when Cate Blanchett and Brie Larson were pictured touching her stomach at the Academy Awards. Fans immediately speculated that the actress might be pregnant with her fourth baby – but their excitement was a little premature. Kate categorically denied reports that she is expecting as she headed back to work on Tuesday.
The 40-year-old star was asked by reporters about the rumours as she made her way to the New York City film set of her upcoming movie Collateral Beauty. In a very matter-of-fact manner, she stated: "I am categorically not (pregnant)," as she made her way into a waiting car.

Kate's response comes after her mum Sally also brushed off the rumours. "I haven't heard a word about it," she said. "I could be the last to know, but that's highly unlikely where Kate's concerned."
Kate made headlines at Sunday night's ceremony when she was photographed in a conversation with Brie and Cate during an advert break. The British star appeared to tell the pair something which caused Cate to go wide-eyed and put her hand on Kate's stomach, before Brie hugged her.
According to gossip site TMZ, however, there was a simple explanation behind the pictures. A source confirmed that Kate was "actually letting her friends feel the beautiful fabric of the dress".

Kate is a mother to three children. She has a 15-year-old daughter Mia with ex-husband Jim Threapleton, and a 12-year-old son Joe with her second ex-husband Sam Mendes. She also has a two-year-old son Bear Blaze with her current husband Ned Rocknroll.
The couple, who prefer to stay out of the spotlight, tied the knot in December 2012 and welcomed their little boy in December the following year.
