Olivia Wilde gave a masterclass in maternity style as she stepped out at the CFDA Awards in New York on Monday night. The mum-to-be wowed in a green Rosie Assoulin dress with a cut out panel, which she said allowed her unborn baby to "clearly hear Beyoncé's speech".

The Vinyl actress proudly cradled her growing baby bump as she walked the red carpet at the Hammerstein Ballroom, explaining to People that she doesn't think pregnant women should attempt to hide their baby bumps.

"It is a gorgeous time. And there is no reason to hide it," Olivia said.

Olivia, 32, announced that she is expecting her second child with fiancé Jason Sudeikis in April. The actress revealed the news with an adorable photo of herself and her two-year-old son Otis Alexander both holding their tummies and smiling.

"Matching baby bumps," she wrote.

The actress had been open about her desire to give little Otis a sibling, telling People she was "desperate" to have more children.

"I love my siblings so much and Jason has incredible siblings too. The more the merrier." She added that her son is also ready to be a big brother – sort of. "He loves little babies," Olivia said. "He has a Michael Jordan doll that he carries around sometimes. (He uses the doll) as either a hammer or a baby."

In April, Olivia opened up about first meeting Jason, who popped the question in 2013. Speaking on the Howard Stern radio show, Olivia revealed that Jason used an enigmatic pick-up line when they first met backstage at a Saturday Night Live party in 2011. "He came up to me… right up in my face and said, 'Whatever you're looking for, you don't need it', and he walked away. "He didn't even try to pick me up, he just walked away. It was so mysterious, that's why I liked it."
