They rekindled their romance at the end of last year but Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth haven't explicitly made reference to their relationship on social media... until now. So when Miley posted a photo of her handsome beau on Instagram on Sunday night, fans were no doubt excited for the couple.

Miley shared a photo of her boyfriend relaxing at home with a pet dog, wearing a T-shirt from her charitable organisation The Happy Hippie Foundation.

The Wrecking Ball singer accompanied the image with a sweet caption, writing: "So much love in one pic...."

Miley Cyrus has been wearing her old engagement ring from Liam

While neither Miley, 23, nor Liam, 26, have publicly spoken about their relationship, the couple have been spending copious amounts of time together and were recently spotted dining at the exclusive Nobu restaurant in Malibu. They got back together last year, celebrating the New Year in Australia.

Miley has also started wearing the same engagement ring that Liam used to propose to her back in 2012, prompting fans to speculate that a wedding is on the cards.

Previous reports claimed that the couple were set to wed in Liam's native Australia at the end of the summer, although Miley's dad Billy Ray Cyrus has denied it. Back in April, Liam also categorically said that he wasn't engaged.

The couple got back together at the end of last year

Last week the former Hannah Montana star debuted a new tattoo on Instagram, seeming to make reference to her actor boyfriend.

Miley opted for an inking of a Vegemite jar, a popular Austalian snack, in what could be a nod to Liam's Australian heritage.

While it's not known whether the couple are engaged, Liam has previously defended his decision to pop the question the first time around.

"I don't think that was impulsive," the Hunger Games star told News.com.au. "That was a well thought-out idea."
