Neville's is a taken man! Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis is engaged to his girlfriend, Angela Jones.

The actor, who famously played the franchise's loveable and heroic Gryffindor Neville Longbottom, took a selfie with Angela – who showed off her ring to the camera - as they posed outside of the Eiffel Tower last month where Matthew got down on one knee. According to TMZ, Angela is an event planner at Universal Studios Orlando, and the pair originally met at a Wizarding World event back in January.  A spokesman confirmed the news to MailOnline, saying: "They're both over the moon. They got together in July and hit it off straight away."

Fans of the actor have been quick to offer their congratulations, with one writing: "Congratulations to Matthew Lewis who got engaged!!! The Harry Potter cast are all so grown up now and it's make me SO EMOTIONAL," while another added: "Our Neville Longbottom is getting married :")."  However, Matthew has yet to confirm the news about his engagement, and is currently sharing snaps of a T-shirt he designed in order to raise money for children's charities. The hilarious T-shirt features a photo of his 12-year-old self in character as Neville with the caption: "Started from the bottom."

Matthew caused a stir after posing for Attitude magazine in 2015, and spoke about the fan reaction he had from fans when he arrived at the premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II in 2011. He said: "I was 21, I was like 'yeah, this'll be cool!' It was never meant to be a 'hey everyone, look at me!' but it was nice to be able to go and be myself. And then obviously a lot of attention focused on it, which I didn't expect at all. I've never considered myself to be good-looking at all. Just average."
