Emma Watson abruptly interrupted her co-star Dan Stevens during an interview to kindly let the reporter know that she had ink on her chin. After a few seconds of listening to Dan chat about their upcoming film,Beauty and the Beast, the star said: "I'm so sorry, can I stop you? I'm so sorry." Speaking to the interviewer, she said: "You would do this for me and I would do this for you. You've got pen on your chin and you're going to be so sad when you see this."
The Harry Potter actress then stood up and tried to rub the mark off before asking a makeup artist to bring over some concealer, saying: "I know what it’s like to have something on your face!" The blushing journalist, who was interviewing the pair on behalf of Spanish TV platform Movistar+, said: "I'm red now right? Thank you so much. I'm so embarrassed!" The group then laughed as she continued: "This is the best moment of the trip, I have to say."
Emma has been busy with the press tour for the film, where she will play the beloved Disney princess, Belle. Speaking about how the role was updated for a modern audience, she told Entertainment Weekly: "In the animated movie, it’s her father who is the inventor, and we actually co-opted that for Belle. I was like, 'Well, there was never very much information or detail at the beginning of the story as to why Belle didn’t fit in, other than she liked books. Also what is she doing with her time?' So, we created a backstory for her, which was that she had invented a kind of washing machine, so that, instead of doing laundry, she could sit and use that time to read instead. So, yeah, we made Belle an inventor."
