Back in March, Daniella Westbrook revealed that she had tragically suffered a miscarriage last year, causing her to check into rehab in Marbella, Spain, to help her cope with her personal demons. On Wednesday, the former EastEnders actress appeared on Loose Women to discuss how going away had helped her cope with her tragic loss. Chatting to hosts Ruth Langsford, Linda Robson, Nadia Sawalha and Jane Moore, she revealed: "I had a miscarriage last May and I was on EastEnders at the time. Only George and I knew about it at the time and it really broke my heart. I was in a bad place."

Luckily, Daniella admitted that she was now in a far better place, having taken time out away from the spotlight. "I’m fantastic, I was so poorly last time I was here, I have been so poorly with my health and my mental health," she told the panel. And while she looked a picture of happiness during the show, the TV star admitted: "Being here right now is not the right place for me. I like being abroad," causing Jane to advise her: "Don’t be on social media, don’t be on television shows, learn to love yourself." The 43-year-old then replied: "I’ve done that but I’m bored!"

Daniella will be reprising her role as Sam Mitchell on EastEnders later in the year

During the show, Daniella excitedly told the panel that she had opened a bar in Spain, which caused a worried Jane to asked her whether it was such a good idea to be surrounded by alcohol on a daily basis. The mother-of-two was quick to reassure her that it was merely a business venture and an investment for her son, Kai, and that she was not "going to be Peggy Mitchell," making reference to her former soap mum. When asked if she had any plans on returning to the popular BBC soap to reprise the role of Sam Mitchell, she surprised the audience with some very exciting news. "There’s a lot of chance of me being back in EastEnders. I love EastEnders I’m going back there later this year," she revealed.
