As we approach May, we hope these celebrities will be making the most of the ever-so-slightly improved weather conditions on their very special birthdays! From film legends to Netflix break-out stars, we can imagine these birthday girls will be marking their big days in very different ways, and we can't wait to see what they'll get up to. In the meantime, let's take a look at which celebrities we need to send our many happy returns to, what age they are turning, and what they have been up to in the lead-up to becoming another year older and wiser! Starting with…

Uma Thurman turns 48

Uma has had an eventful year. Not only has her stunning daughter, Maya Hawke, become hugely successful – appearing in Little Women and a confirmed new addition to Stranger Things season three, the Pulp Fiction actress also spoke candidly about her difficult experiences with Quentin Tarantino as part of the Time's Up movement, revealing that she was involved in a car crash after he bullied her into driving a car on the set of Kill Bill, despite her lack of experience. Speaking to the New York Times, she said: "He said, 'I promise you the car is fine. It's a straight piece of road… Hit 40 miles per hour or your hair won't blow the right way and I'll make you do it again.' But that was a death box that I was in. The seat wasn't screwed down properly. It was a sand road and it was not a straight road… When I came back from the hospital in a neck brace with my knees damaged and a large massive egg on my head and a concussion, I wanted to see the car and I was very upset. Quentin and I had an enormous fight, and I accused him of trying to kill me. And he was very angry at that, I guess understandably, because he didn’t feel he had tried to kill me."

Katherine Langsford turns 22

Katherine broke hearts in her role as the troubled Hannah Baker in Netflix's immensely popular series, 13 Reasons Why. Since then, the Australian-born actress has gone onto appear in The Misguided and the popular teen movie, Love, Simon. She will reprise her role as Hannah in the second season of the popular show.

Michelle Pfeiffer turns 60

Can you believe that this Hairspray star is turning 60? The stunning actress recently made a return to acting after a long break, appearing in films including Murder on the Orient Express and Mother! Speaking about her return to acting in an interview with Interview magazine, she said: "I'm a more balanced person honestly when I'm working. But I was pretty careful about where I shot, how long I was away, whether or not it worked out with the kids' schedule. And I got so picky that I was unhirable. And then… I don't know, time just went on."
