Lanson hosts star-studded party to kick off Wimbledon

HELLO!'s Editor in Chief Rosie Nixon was among the guests at Monday's event

It is the hottest ticket in town a seat on the centre court for the two weeks of Wimbledon. And as the action got underway at The All England Club on Monday, Lanson celebrated its 17th-year as the Official Supplier of Champagne to The Championships by hosting a party for a number of celebrities. Star guests including news presenters Huw Edwards and Kay Burley, mingled with LBC radio DJ Nick Ferrari and menswear designer Ozwald Boateng in the VIP village.

Joining them was new Daily Mail editor, Geordie Grieg and HELLO! Editor in Chief Rosie Nixon. And to make sure they all had an ace time as temperatures swelled towards 30C, grass court expert Tim Henman popped in to the suite to talk about reaching the semi final in the SW19 tournament four times.

Lanson estimates that between 25,000 and 29,000 bottles of their fizz will be popped during the fortnight of action on the courts – and no doubt these numbers will swell if any British star lifts the trophy with high hopes for Jo Konta on the woman’s side and Kyle Edmund in the men’s draw!
