Iggy Pop
There is extreme, there is legendary, and then there is Iggy Pop. As the fearless frontman of the seminal proto-punk band The Stooges, Iggy is widely revered as the "Godfather of Punk" - a title that cemented his status as rock’s ultimate wild child. Renowned for his chaotic and sometimes dangerous stage presence, one of his most notorious moments came during a performance in the early '70s. After unsuccessfully goading an audience member into stabbing him with a steak knife he had brought on stage, Iggy took matters into his own hands and carved a bloody "X" into his own chest.
Now 79, Iggy is still actively performing and has been married to his third wife, Nina Alu, since 2008. In 2010, he was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame alongside The Stooges, and went on to receive a prestigious Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2020.
