Julian Glover has entertained fans for decades, landing major parts in global franchises, such as Star Wars or Harry Potter.
During his illustrious career, Julian has played General Maximilian Veers in Star Wars, Aristotle Kristatos in For Your Eyes Only, Walter Donovan in Indiana Jones and Aragog in the Harry Potter movies.
Alongside roles in The Avengers, The Fourth Protocol, Doctor Who and Game of Thrones, the 91-year-old has also had an incredible stage career, winning the Laurence Olivier Award in 1993 for his role as King Henry IV in the two Shakespearean plays.
Away from the screen, the star has been married twice. In 1957, he walked down the aisle with actress Eileen Atkins, known for her roles in Upstairs, Downstairs and The House of Elliott, but the pair split in 1966. In 1968, he married actress Isla Blair, and the couple remained together.
A year after their marriage, the pair welcomed their only child, Jamie Glover, and with showbusiness running through his veins, he followed in his parents' footsteps by becoming an actor. Scroll down for all you need to know about the star…
Julian Glover's famous son
Like his parents, Jamie Glover is a screen star, known for his roles in Waterloo Road, Agatha Raisin, The Crown and Casualty. While the Glover family haven't appeared on-screen together, they famously all appeared together in a production of Hamlet, with Jamie playing the title role, Isla playing Hamlet's mother and Julian appearing as the Ghost of Hamlet's Father.
Jamie has also appeared in some of the same franchises as his father, playing Graves in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles and as Harry Potter in the stage production Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. He has also lent his voice to several Star Wars video games, including voicing the character that his father famously played in the franchise.
© Getty ImagesDespite having such famous parents, Jamie previously told What to Watch that there wasn't any pressure on him to become an actor. "It wasn’t so much that it felt inevitable, it was just that it was very much an option, which not everybody had," he told the publication.
"For a lot of people, if you say you're going to be an actor, it's like saying you want to be an astronaut; it feels like an alien thing. But, I suppose for me, it was the centre of my life and I felt at home with my parents in make-up trailers or on set, so it always felt like an option."
© Dave Benett/Getty ImagesIn the same interview, he revealed that as he was growing up, he was able to visit several iconic movie sets, sharing: "I did visit the set of The Empire Strikes Back when my dad was on that. I saw a big snow scene in the studio and Mark Hamill was in it, which was very exciting when I was a kid around the age of nine!"
Jamie is in a long-term relationship with the actress Sasha Behar, who is most famous for playing Maya Sharma in Coronation Street. The couple have two daughters, and speaking of her grandchildren in a 2014 interview, Jamie's mother Isla said: "We're blessed with our family – we're very close to Jamie and have two granddaughters we’re besotted with."
