Heidi Klum

One of Heidi's most valuable assets is her legs, which were reportedly insured for $2.2 million in case any mishap befell the supermodel.

She shared insight into the unusual move on The Ellen Show in 2022, revealing that it wasn't actually her choice.

"I didn't insure them, by the way," she said on the show. "It was a client who insured them; it wasn't me. And one was actually more expensive than the other because when I was young, I fell into a glass and I have, like, a big scar."

"Obviously I put so much spray tan on right now you can't see it right now, but yeah, one was more expensive than the other one. It's weird the things that some people do."

She previously told People that one leg was insured for $1.2 million, while the scarred leg went for $1 million.

Kim Kardashian

Kim's famous derriere is said to be insured for a whopping $21 million, although this has never been confirmed by the billionaire.

The move was reportedly the brainchild of Kim's former husband, rapper Kanye West, who saw the value in protecting one of her most famous assets.

Mariah Carey

The legendary songstress, who boasts an impressive five-octave vocal range, insured both her voice and her legs while on her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour in 2016.

According to reports, Mariah took out a $35 million policy on her famous voice, and a $35 million policy on her pins. This ensured that if anything happened to her during the tour, she would not lose out.

Mariah also reportedly insured her legs back in 2006 for $1 billion when she became the face of Gillette's Legs of a Goddess campaign.

David Beckham

At one point during his career, David Beckham was the world's most famous football star, and one of its best, finishing as the runner-up in 1999 Ballon d'Or.

So, it is no surprise that he and his team would want to prepare in case a major injury hindered his career.

As a result, he reportedly insured his legs for $195 million in 2006 while at Real Madrid, so large a sum that it was rumoured to have been split amongst several insurance companies.

The actress had her stunning smile insured for $10 million when she teamed up with Aquafresh in 2007. "It's very flattering, [and] not something I ever imagined happening," she said at the time.

The football legend took a page out of David Beckham's book and insured his legs for a whopping $144 million when he was signed by Real Madrid in 2009, which at the time was a world record move.

The decision came in the wake of his departure from England's Premier League, which is renowned for being one of the toughest leagues.

"Football in England is different; it is more physical," he told The Examiner.

"There are some teams who know they can't compete with you on a football level, so they just kick you. It's frustrating, and something needs to be done to protect the skilful players, because one day someone will get seriously hurt."

Daniel Craig

Daniel Craig was intent on doing most of his own stunts while filming the 2008 James Bond film Quantum of Solace, which meant protecting himself if something went awry on set.

"He does a lot more than Pierce [Brosnan] used to do," the film's chief stunt coordinator, Gary Powell, told The Guardian.

"And he's allowed to because he's capable of doing it. He thinks, 'You're paying to see me, and that's me doing it.' He wants the audience to know."

As such, Daniel took out a $9.5 million policy on his whole body, which came in handy when he injured his shoulder on set.

He later injured both of his calf muscles and a ligament in his knee while filming subsequent Bond movies, though he actually sliced the tip of his finger off during that same Quantum of Solace shoot.

Jamie's pins were the envy of Hollywood back in the day, so much so that the tights company L'Eggs reportedly insured her legs for $2 million when she appeared in their 1996 campaign.

Tina Turner was known both for her powerhouse vocals and for her seemingly endless legs, a fact which was not lost on the late performer.

"Sometimes I think I’m as famous for my legs as much as my voice," she told The Sun. "I only had my legs on show so much as it made it much easier to dance. And then it became part of my style.

She continued: "When I was younger I never felt confident about any part of my body, but with all the attention my legs received, I realised they must be okay!" Tina reportedly took out a $3.2 million policy to protect her legs.

Keith Richards

The Rolling Stones guitarist wanted to protect the moneymakers – his hands – from any damage that would prevent him from playing his instrument.

He reportedly insured his hands for $1.6 million, and later named the appendages "the business" in an interview with Fortune.

The Boss's famously gravelly, raw voice made him a superstar, so it's only fair that he reportedly insured the instrument for $6 million back in the '80s.
