Nine months into the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, her daughter and TODAY Show anchor Savannah Guthrie issued a new plea for information on the case.
The NBC News anchor, 54, took to her Instagram page with a photograph of a drawing made by her daughter Vale about her own mom Savannah, which she related to her feelings about her 84-year-old mother's disappearance.
Savannah Guthrie's latest statement on mom Nancy
"Found this old drawing from my daughter today. It says so much about how I feel," the mom-of-two penned. "The world goes on, things appear 'normal' - as we try to keep going and be strong, especially for our young kids - but it's not and it never will be."
She continued: "For Annie and Tommy, for Cam and Kristine, for Mike and me and for all of mom's beloved grandchildren: we ache for her, we cry out for answers, we cannot move forward."
Savannah once again issued a call for information on her mother. "We need someone to help us, tell us what you know. Our mom was a light in this world. We want to celebrate her and give her the dignity she deserves. The reward is still available. Please. We are begging you. Please help us."
She ended with a note of gratitude for all those who'd extended their support, writing: "Thank you to all those who have been kind and shown the best of humanity. Join us in praying without ceasing."
Savannah's on-air colleagues similarly shared comments of support, with Jenna Bush Hager replying: "We love and miss Nancy. Please bring her home."
Jill Martin wrote: "Thank you for sharing. This is so beautiful and heartbreaking all at once You are so brave for showing up for your family and all of us every day. Love you," with ABC News' Lara Spencer adding: "Pls pls. Pls. There must be someone out there. PLEASE Help them. Love you SG. Big huge hugs from all of us."
Latest updates on the Nancy Guthrie disappearance
In the lead-up to nine months, the Pima County Sheriff's Department issued a rare update on the investigation, confirming it was still ongoing although no significant leads were reported.
"The Nancy Guthrie Task Force continues to work with our labs in hopes of furthering our DNA analysis in this investigation," their statement read. "Earlier this month investigators traveled to Florida to meet with lab scientists to see what more could be done to advance the case."
"A number of ideas were discussed, and we continue to work with all of our partners to solve this case," it continued, once again ending with a call for tips or information. "We want to remind the public that no tip is too small. Even the smallest piece of information could be critical to this investigation," the statement concluded.
