Newlywed Cristiano Ronaldo has shared a post-wedding update after tying the knot with his long-time love Georgina Rodríguez last week.
After a major change in his personal life, the professional footballer confirmed he's back to business on the field as he made a triumphant return to the Saudi Pro League – this time as a married man. Cristiano said it was "good to be back" as he shared a collection of photos celebrating with his Al-Nassr teammates after they beat Al-Riyadh on Friday in a sweeping 0-4 victory.
Cristiano, who led the team to the 2025–26 Saudi Pro League title, beamed in pictures as the game marked the 977th goal of his career. The 41-year-old Portuguese footballer has been playing for over three decades and participated in six World Cups, but revealed at a press conference in June that 2026 would be his "last World Cup".
"It's about enjoying it as much as possible," Cristiano said of the game against Spain in the 2026 tournament, which ended in a 0-1 loss for Portugal.
Cristiano and Georgina's long-awaited wedding
Cristiano and his bride Georgina announced on social media on 11 August that they had quietly tied the knot after a decade together. The longtime couple shared a photo of their gold wedding bands and Georgina's sparkling engagement ring.
They later revealed to Vogue that they had said 'I do' at their summer home in Cascais, Portugal. "We've chosen to do it in the living room of our house here," Georgina explained to the publication in their first interview since the wedding. "Where we have breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and where we live the reality of our lives."
"In 30 years' time I want the children to think, 'Something wonderful happened at this table – the wedding vows of our parents'," she added.
"I know she's the love of my life, and I think I am…I think she thinks I'm the love of her life," Cristiano said of his new bride.
Cristiano and Georgina's family
Cristiano's latest post comes after reports that Georgina has adopted her husband's three eldest children – Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., born in 2010, and twins Eva María and Mateo, born in June 2017 – according to the Portuguese press. Georgina welcomed her first child with Ronaldo, a daughter named Alana, in 2017, followed by twins Bella Esmerelda and Ángel in 2022. Their baby boy Ángel sadly passed away during childbirth.
Cristiano and Georgina's civil ceremony was attended by their five children and four witnesses, including Ivana Rodríguez, Georgina's sister. Miguel José, a close friend of Ronaldo's, was also listed as a witness to the nuptials.
